Passed away peacefully at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, with
family by his side Friday February 5th, 2010, in his 83rd
year. Edwin, beloved
husband of Alethea (nee McGuirk). Loving father of David of Calgary, Murray
(Denise King) of London, Stuart of Collingwood, Susan Snelgrove (Lorne Collins)
of Uxbridge and Penny (Matt) Nicol of Maynooth. Dear grandpa of David’s
daughter Sheori Joy Inamoto Snelgrove of Japan. Dear brother of Doris (Pat)
Morton of Port Perry, Ron (Ruth) Snelgrove of Barrie and the late Herb and his
wife Muriel Snelgrove. A special thank-you to Dr. Houston and the nursing staff
of Collingwood General & Marine Hospital for their wonderful care of dad
during his illness. The family would also like to thank his friends and staff
at Raglan Village for their wonderful support to dad.
Visitation will be held
at Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood, on Thursday February 11th, 2010,
from 11 - 12 PM followed by a “Tribute of Edwin’s Life” in the chapel at 12 PM.
Donations made to the General & Marine Hospital would be appreciated by the
family.
