James Thomas"Jim" Deffett

Taken away suddenly, surrounded by family, at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood, on April 5^th, 2007 in his 61^st year.

Jim, beloved husband of Carol (nee Wright) for 35 years. Loving father of Andrea (Ian) Kuznick, Don (Rose) Ritchie, Stephen Ritchie, Tara (Jeff) Henderson. Dear Grandpa of Piers, Tamara, Caroline, Stephanie, Hanna and Jack James. Brother of Ted ( Dolores). Uncle of Loredonna and Sarah. Sadly missed by aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Visitation will be held at Chatterson Funeral Home on Friday April 20^th, 2007 from 6-9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 21^st, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Church, 140 Maple Street, Collingwood. Donations may be made to General & Marine Hospital or the Collingwood Humane Society. A passionate educator, gardener and environmentalist, Jim was an outstanding and well loved principal at Simcoe County Board of Education public schools; Baywood, Byrnes Avenue, Oxbow Park (Worsley St.), Connaught, Mountainview and Cameron Street.

Jim was active in the community and will be missed by all.
